I studied Medicine at the University of Barcelona (1998). I made my specialization MIR in Neurosurgery at Vall d’Hebron Hospital, extending my training abroad, including the Neurosurgery Service at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit in 2007 and the Neurosurgery Service at the University of California in San Francisco (UCSF) in 2012. I obtained the Doctor of Surgery degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona with an outstanding Cum Laude qualification in March 2015 and an extraordinary doctoral award in October 2016.

My assistance activities are mainly focused on cerebral vascular pathology, highlighting my great experience in aneurysmal surgery, arteriovenous malformations and cerebral revascularization surgery by performing high and low flow bypass anastomosis. Other areas of expertise focus on skull base surgery using endoscopic techniques. In addition, in the field of vascular pathology, I have a hybrid neurosurgeon profile as part of the Interventional Neuroradiology Unit of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital since January 2009, where I participate in diagnostic and therapeutic endovascular procedures of the cerebral, Head and neck.

Author or co-author of numerous articles published in national and international journals. Among my scientific work is my contribution as principal investigator and co-investigator in numerous clinical trials. I am responsible for different lines of clinical research as well as animal experimentation.

The goal is to test a low-cost, easy-to-use and non-invasive monitor, which will serve to control intracranial pressure (PICO) values, which will help to control and treat different acute brain pathologies.

The new tool will improve patient care and allow early detection of complications, as the hospital previously did not have a specific form.
