I am a gastroenterologist working in the Gastroenterology Department at Vall d'Hebron Hospital and principal investigator in the research group of Physiology and Pathophysiology of the Digestive Tract in the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute. My clinical and research activity is dedicated to gastrointestinal bleeding and functional digestive disorders.

I am a gastroenterologist at Vall d'Hebron Hospital, where I did my residency and also began my research training in the field of Neuroimmunogastroenterology.
Currently, my clinical activity in the Gastroenterology Department at Vall d'Hebron Hospital as an attending physician is focused in gastrointestinal bleeding. Because of my research activity, I am also attending patients with functional gastrointestinal disorders. My research as principal investigator in the Neuroimmunogastroenterology research line, integrated in the Physiology and Digestive Pathophysiology Research Group of Vall d'Hebron Institut Recerca, aims to identify the mechanisms involved in irritable bowel syndrome pathophysiology.
