I am a nurse with a PhD and a member of the Stroke Research Group. My work focuses on stroke care and applied clinical research, aiming to improve care pathways and health outcomes in the field of neurovascular diseases.

Since 2012, I have been a member of the Stroke Group. During my early years, I coordinated clinical trials aimed at testing new treatments for stroke, some of which demonstrated their efficacy and safety and are now part of routine stroke care. In the field of nursing research, I have participated in and led projects focused on optimising care pathways and improving the quality of nursing care.

My expertise focuses on the implementation of clinical protocols, nurse-led research, and the translation of scientific evidence into everyday clinical practice.
I have contributed to scientific publications, conferences, lectures, and university-level teaching, and I have actively collaborated with scientific societies in the neurological field, contributing to the development and leadership of specialised stroke nursing.

Currently, I am involved in the management of European stroke projects, such as UMBRELLA and Trustroke, aimed at improving stroke care. Through the secure and privacy-preserving use of clinical data and artificial intelligence tools, we develop solutions to enhance care processes and improve the prediction of individual patients’ clinical outcomes.
