26/09/2013 Dr. Azpiroz is awarded with the UCAM Innovation Special Prize in Health and Food 26/09/2013 His project, led at VHIR, studies the ability of food to improve digestive comfort The team led by Dr. Fernando Azpiroz, head of the Physiology and Pathophysiology of the Digestive Tract group, has been awarded with the Research Special Prize, in the framework of the Innovation Prize in Health and Food, organized by UCAM University, for his pioneer studies on the effects of Mediterranean Diet on the digestive function and the pleasurable sensations in response to food. In this field, in collaboration with the company Gallina Blanca Star, Dr. Arzpiroz is carrying out a research with the aim to study the ability of food to improve digestive comfort and pleasurable sensations in the body in normal conditions, as well as to improve tolerance in patients with digestive sympthoms.
