Competitive Research Directorate For a better organization of its resources, the VHIR has created a new Competitive Projects Area. The mission of this Directorate is to attract and manage competitive funds/resources, guaranteeing compliance with the scientific and economic milestones of the projects and, therefore, to contribute to the VHIR's institutional and international positioning strategy and sustainability, in line with the priorities of the Institutional Strategic Plan. Moreover, the Competitive Projects Area centralizes and coordinates the management of national and international projects creating new alliances and leveraging the existing ones such as the European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA), the European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (EATRIS) and the European Clinical Research Infrastructure (ECRIN) amongst others. National Projects Unit Under the leadership of the Competitive Projects Directorate, the National Projects Unit will support the scientific community at Vall d’Hebron throughout the full lifecycle of national competitive projects. The Unit encourages and supports researchers in the pursuit of national competitive funding for research, detecting opportunities and contributing to the development of quality proposals. Once the desired funding is achieved, the Unit also provides guidance on regulations compliance and post-award management for the best research outcomes. Team International Projects Unit The International Projects Unit will support the scientific community at Vall d’Hebron throughout the full lifecycle of international competitive projects. The Unit encourages and supports researchers in the pursuit of international competitive funding for research, detecting opportunities and contributing to the development of quality proposals. Once the desired funding is achieved, the Unit also provides guidance on regulations compliance and post-award management for the best research outcomes. Team
