The Legal Services team has the following responsibilities:

Advising the different research groups, services and units at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), coordinating the different external legal advisers and acting as an interlocutor between the law firms of the entities in our sector:
- Catalan Health Institute-Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (ICS-HUVH)
- Health Department
- Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)
Advising the VHIR scientific community regarding the ongoing new legal developments that affect the development of biomedical research to ensure their legality and, therefore, the transfer of results to society.
Coordinating and developing the data protection system in accordance with the Spanish Data Protection Act (LOPD).
Ensuring the regulatory compliance of the institution.
