Infrastructure Coordination The Infrastructure Coordination ensures the correct functioning of the laboratories and the maintenance of the buildings of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). It is divided in the General Services and the Laboratory Coordination units. General Services Unit The General Services and Infrastructure Unit (SGI) at VHIR ensures the optimal operation and continuous availability of the spaces, services, and infrastructure that support the centre’s scientific and administrative activities. The unit provides services across VHIR's various buildings, ensuring that facilities meet the required safety, comfort, efficiency, and functionality standards. Its main responsibilities include: Management and maintenance of infrastructure. Reception management and staff support. Organisation and booking of meeting rooms. Providing logistical support for the reception and distribution of goods. Management of security services, including building access permits. Cleaning service coordination. Execution of refurbishment and adaptation projects. Energy efficiency and sustainability. Acting as a cross-cutting support service for VHIR’s research groups, the CL Unit contributes to improving laboratory operational efficiency and ensures a safe, orderly and suitable working environment for biomedical research.
