Infrastructure Coordination The Infrastructure Coordination ensures the correct functioning of the laboratories and the maintenance of the buildings of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). It is divided in the General Services and the Laboratory Coordination units. General Services Unit The General and Infrastructure Services Unit (SGI) Manages common areas Cleans and sterilising laboratory material Supplies personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers Provides logistics support with the receipt of goods Manages access permissions to buildings Oversees the treatment of waste generated at the VHIR Oversees technical assistance with the electrical medical equipment in the common areas and research groups It is also responsible for the structural maintenance of the facilities: incidents, air conditioning, new installations, building work, transport and telephony, etc. It supports the administrative structure and manages the receptions of the two VHIR buildings.
