Internal Strategy Directorate The Internal Strategy Directorate is responsible for knowledge management and the scientific strategy of the institution. It also oversees the implementation and monitoring of strategic planning, scientific policies, institutional evaluations, and both institutional and research indicators, as well as promoting the culture of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) at VHIR. It manages institutional calls, develops transparent and inclusive criteria to assess scientific performance, and promotes new research values and standards within the institution. Not only that, but it leads the institutional strategy to attract and retain scientific talent, building an outstanding scientific community. The Teaching Unit also coordinates student training placements at the VHIR through collaboration agreements with universities or other educational centres, so that students who wish to do so may carry out a placement at the VHIR laboratories and thus complete their training, acquire practical experience and prepare for their entry into the employment world at one of the biggest biosanitary research centres in Catalonia.
