Internal Strategy Directorate The Strategy Department is responsible for the knowledge management and scientific strategy of the Institution and assists in several activities, such as the implementation of the institutional strategic plan and scientific policy, institutional assessments, monitoring of institutional and research indicators, and promoting the culture of RRI (Responsible Research & Innovation) at VHIR. It also promotes and coordinates institutional and international alliances, such as the research pillar within the European University Hospitals Alliance (EUHA) or the European translational medicine infrastructure EATRIS. The Teaching Unit also coordinates student training placements at the VHIR through collaboration agreements with universities or other educational centres, so that students who wish to do so may carry out a placement at the VHIR laboratories and thus complete their training, acquire practical experience and prepare for their entry into the employment world at one of the biggest biosanitary research centres in Catalonia.
