My research is focused on the prevention of prematurity. I also have an interest in teaching and innovation, and I am part of the Hospital's Innovation Committee.

I graduated in Medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2012 and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital (2013-2017).

At the end of the specialization, I started working in the Hospital's obstetric ultrasound department, where I have been specifically trained in ultrasound prenatal diagnosis. In 2017 I obtained the pre-doctoral grant "Amics de la Vall d'Hebron" and since then I have been linked to the VHIR and collaborated in different research projects in the area of Maternal and Fetal Medicine.

In 2018, I developed a 3D printing project in obstetrics that was the winner of the Hospital's first innovation competition.

In 2022 I finished my PhD studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Currently my care activity at the hospital focuses on prenatal diagnosis and I continue to work on research and innovation. Since 2022 I have been part of the Hospital's Innovation Commission.

A study led by Dr. Manel Mendoza from Vall d’Hebron shows that studying the levels of placental markers is as effective as Doppler ultrasounds, the standard method for classifying the risk of pregnancies with low birth weight fetuses.
