I completed my specialty in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, where I learned from top professionals and developed a holistic view of rehabilitative medicine. During my residency, I recognized the importance of thorough and comprehensive functional assessments, based on clinical history and both instrumented and non-instrumented tests, to design specific and personalized treatment plans.

After finishing my residency in 2010, I continued working as an attending physician in the cardiorespiratory rehabilitation unit, taking on the challenge of launching the cardiac rehabilitation program. Since then, my clinical work has focused on cardiorespiratory rehabilitation and functional assessment within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service.

Regarding teaching, I began as a resident representative on the teaching committee during my residency. Since 2017, I have been a tutor for residents, supporting them throughout their training process, and since 2015, an associate professor in the Physiotherapy degree program at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I also participate in training activities for healthcare professionals.

Research has been a key aspect of my career. I have collaborated on FISS grants, multicenter studies, scientific publications, and doctoral theses within the framework of the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute.

Currently, I am the head of the Complex Medical Rehabilitation section, leading a multidisciplinary team and coordinating projects to improve care for patients with complex pathologies, with an organizational vision focused on continuous improvement.
