Amanda Rodríguez Urrutia

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2002, obtaining the specialization in psychiatry via MIR. Since 2007 I work as a specialist physician at the Mental Health Service of the hospital. Currently I coordinate the Resistant Depression Program of the Mental Health Service of the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital.

PhD in Psychiatry from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2017 with the qualification of excellent cum laude and extraordinary award. I am very interested in teaching, I am an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine, coordinator of tutors of residents and tutor since 2013. Since 2018 I am part of the Hospital Ethics Committee. My main line of research is focused on the dysfunctions of the Brain-Immune-Gut axis and depression. I lead the implementation of the Brain-Immune-Gut line at VHIR together with other groups. I am part of national and international grants (discoverie.eu).
