I currently work as a Researcher in the Bioengineering, Cellular Therapy and Surgery in Congenital Malformations laboratory. In addition to being a Senior Laboratory Technician, I am also a Technical Engineer in Industrial Chemistry, a career where I specialized in Biotechnology, and later expanded my knowledge by completing a master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology. With diverse professional experience as a Researcher and Laboratory Technician, at a public level and in a private company.

At the end of my studies as a Higher Technician in Analysis and Control, I decided to start a career in Technical Engineering in Industrial Chemistry, specializing in Biotechnology. In turn, I was lucky to be able to start my professional career as a laboratory technician in the Department of Cell Biology, Immunology and Neurosciences of the Faculty of Medicine of the UB, as a result of which part of the results obtained were published in the scientific journal "The Journal of Neuroscience" with the article “Dopaminergic and glutamatergic signalling crosstalk in Huntington's disease neurodegeneration: the role of p25/cyclin-dependent kinase 5”. In addition, in collaboration with the research group where I worked, I carried out my final project, publishing the results in the journal "Neurotoxicity Research" with the article "Neuroprotective effects of white tea against oxidative stress-induced toxicity in striatal cells". After finishing my university degree, my employment contract also ended, after 2 years and 10 months, and I continued my training with the Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology taught at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biology of the UB, doing internships in the "spin-off BioGLane, S.L.N.E. of which the results were published in the journal “Food Chemistry” with the article “The presence of d-fagomine in the human diet from buckwheat-based foodstuffs”. In the second year of studies, I entered as a researcher for 4 months thanks to a collaboration grant in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Biology, for the completion of the project published in the scientific journal "The Journal of Membrane Biology" with the article “Design and Implementation of a Microelectrode Assembly for Use on Noncontact In Situ Electroporation of Adherent Cells”. After a few years of inactivity in the field of science, I worked as a laboratory technician and "LabManager" as a freelancer for 6 months in the Biophysics and Bioengineering unit of the Faculty of Medicine of the UB, until I joined as a senior technician in laboratory in the Transcriptional Regulation of Gene Expression research group located at CELLEX (IDIBAPS) where I worked for 2 years and 9 months until the end of the project and the funding. Moreover, to the work experience that I added to my resume, I had the opportunity to attend various conferences, as well as carry out workshops and courses. Subsequently, I entered the business field, substituting for 6 months the leave of a senior laboratory technician at the company Biokit, S.A. A few months later, in January 2020, I had the opportunity to start a new professional career at Leitat, which allows me both to have scientific publications and to work on national and international projects with other groups and companies, creating a multidisciplinary environment and synergies.
