PhD in Biomedicine with over 15 years of experience in the scientific field and 5 in project management. Since 2022, she has been working in the Strategy Area at VHIR, leading institutional projects and national and international collaborations, with a strong focus on translational research and health impact.

Jasmina Zanoncello holds a PhD in Biomedicine and a Master’s in Bioinformatics and Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology. With over 15 years of experience in the scientific and healthcare sectors, and more than 5 focused exclusively on project management, she combines solid scientific training with strong strategic insight.

Since 2022, she works at VHIR’s Strategy Department as a Project Manager, where she has led key institutional initiatives and supported priority research areas. In her first years, she advanced projects within the eCOREs of Chronic & Prevalent Diseases and Aging and Women and Child Health, including the launch of the Pediatric Research Hub and the TACTIC project (ISCIII - FORTALECE).

Since 2024, she has been responsible for two strategic COREs at VHIR: Advanced Therapies and Rare Diseases.
In this role, she coordinates scientific planning and collaboration, promotes internal synergies between research groups, and drives strategic partnerships with PP stakeholders such as Biocat and ISCIII. She also manages flagship projects like CERTERA and ERDERA, and contributes to the development of institutional infrastructures.

Throughout her career, she has worked extensively in competitive European projects (Marie Curie PhD and Horizon Europe, or ISCIII), always with a focus on translational research. She has also supported the redefinition of VHIR’s scientific structure and the strategic planning of its new building’s research spaces.

Fluent in Italian, English and Spanish, she brings an international and multicultural perspective to all her work.
She stands out for her leadership, coordination skills, and ability to create impact-driven collaborations in biomedical research.
