I hold a PhD in Bioengineering from Ramon Llull University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as a master's degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and in Telecommunications Engineering from La Salle Ramon Llull University. My research activities include the development of advanced systems that automate insulin infusion to facilitate diabetes management using artificial intelligence techniques, which was the main focus of my doctoral thesis. Currently, I continue researching as the leader of a research group focused on the use of artificial intelligence to create a fully automatic artificial pancreas, as well as exploring new ways to measure glucose non-invasively through Raman spectroscopy and machine learning. In addition to my role as Director of Digital Transformation at VHIR, I also serve as the coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at La Salle, Ramon Llull University, where I teach courses related to data science, ethics, and the management of technological projects. My career includes leadership positions at companies like Roche, Amazon, HP, Reckitt, Nike, and Ypsomed, where I have managed large-scale digital transformation projects. I have published extensively on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with articles in international journals and presentations at various conferences. I have also led research projects with competitive funding and collaborated on studies examining the impact of COVID-19 on diabetic patients.
