Maria Martinez Ramirez I graduated in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2016 and subsequently completed my residency in psychiatry at the Consorci Sanitari del Maresme - Hospital de Mataró (2017-2021). After completing my residency, I worked for a time in community child psychiatry (CSMIJ Ocata) and in the Adult Day Hospital at Hospital de Mataró. Since December 2022, I have been working in the Comprehensive Care Program for Autism Spectrum Disorder (PAITEA) at the Mental Health Service of Vall d’Hebron University Hospital. In terms of training, in 2018 I completed the Postgraduate Program in Research and Innovation in Health Sciences at the UAB, and in 2021-2022, the Master's Program in Introduction to Research in Mental Health at CIBERSAM. After passing the Extraordinary Access Exam for the Specialist Title in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2023, I obtained a dual specialization (adult and child and adolescent psychiatry). Since 2024, I have been enrolled in the doctoral program at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), writing a dissertation on functionality in autism. I have collaborated on the publication of several articles on a wide range of topics, including cycloid psychosis, anti-NMDA encephalitis and autism (psychedelics and autism, functionality and autism, nutrition and autism, among others). I have given numerous talks and presented posters at various national and international conferences (INSAR, ECNP, CNP, AEPNYA, among others). Since 2017, I have been a member of the Spanish Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health and the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health.
