Montserrat Aguilera Pujabet Specialized in Paediatric Urology, I belong to the Paediatric Surgery Department. Among my areas of interest, besides general pediatric surgical pathology, are minimally invasive pediatric urology and urological reconstructive surgery. I actively participate in the Spina Bifida Committee, the Pediatric Renal Transplant Committee, the DSD Committee, the Adolescent Gynecological Malformations Committee, and the Urological Transition Committee. I am the coordinator of the training sessions for the Paediatric Surgery Department and the training sessions for Paediatric Surgery residents. I'm a member of the Pediatric Trauma Initial Care team. After completing my training as a pediatric surgeon at Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona (via MIR) in 2019, I worked at Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol until 2021. At which point I rejoined the Paediatric Surgery Department in the Pediatric Urology and Renal Transplant Unit. I completed my training with observerships in the Pediatric Surgery departments at Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades in Paris and Hôpital CHU de Montpellier in France. I am a member of the ESPU (European Society of Paediatric Urology), the SECIPE (Spanish Society of Paediatric Surgery) and the SCP (Catalan Society of Paediatrics). I am currently conducting a research project in acute abdominal surgical pathology in childhood.
