I am a medical doctor at the Infectious Diseases Departament of the Vall Hebron Hospital, with a special interest in the diagnosis and prompt treatment of the most prevalent infectious diseases in travelers and migrants, as well as teaching and research in international health. I am the medical coordinator of the Center for International Health and Communicable Diseases in Drassanes-Vall d'Hebron.

I was graduated in Medicine by the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona (UAB) in 1996. Specialist in Family Doctor in 2000. Postgraduate in Mental Health in migrants at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2000. Postgraduate in Tropical Medicine in the Tropical Medicine Institute of Antwerp (Belgium) in 2001. Master in Epidemiology, Bahia Federal University (UFBA), Brazil, in 2003. Master's in international health at UB 2011. PhD in Medicine at UB in 2018. Lecturer at Tropical Medicine Master of the UAB. Director of the International Health Courses of PROSICS at Vall d’Hebron Hospital. Scientific coordinator of MyHealth, this project was co-founded by the EU from 2017 to 2020 and had the main goal of improving the quality and access to health for newly arrived migrants to Europe. Scientific PI from VHIR at ACTOVAX4NAM, this project is co-founded by the EU since 2021 and had the main goal of improving the vaccination coverage in newly arrived migrants to Europe. Since December 2022 I am the medical coordinator of the International Health and Infectious Diseases Center of Drassanes-Vall d'Hebron.
