Etiqueta Vall d'Hebron Talks by VHIR

Speaker: Dr. Sergio Salazar.
Sergio obtained his Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Córdoba in 2006 and has worked as a designated veterinarian, project manager, and animal facility manager during his fifteen-year career in animal experimentation.

The process of authorizing projects and modifications in animal experimentation is crucial to ensure ethics and safety in research. When applying for such authorization, it is essential to consider three fundamental aspects: the research project itself, the experimental procedures involved and the Non-Technical Summary (NTS).

In summary, the authorization of projects and modifications in animal experimentation involves careful project planning, consideration of experimental procedures, and the creation of an accessible NTS. This ensures compliance with ethical and scientific regulations, while promoting transparency in research.
