9th Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Conference

Coinciding with the celebration of World Day for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) has taken place in Vall d'Hebron University Hospital the 9th Conference on Chronic Fatigue, which hosted more than 300 people, including authorities, experts and especially patients and family. Organized by Dr. José Alegre, head of the Group of Chronic Fatigue at Vall d'Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR) and the CFS unit of the hospital, the day was opened by Francesc Sancho, secretary of Strategy and Communications of the Catalan Health Department, and had among other authorities, the presence of Dr. Joan Genescà, scientific advisor to VHIR's director. Throughout the day there were issues of concern to patients and their families, such as comorbidities associated with CFS, the impact of its psychopathology, as well as usual items such as incapacity, bodily harm, or the latest investigations such as ocular headache.
