Has advised to improve the quality of health care applying the results of research

The professor of the School of Nursing of the McMaster University, Canada, Alba DiCenso, has encouraged the professionals to apply the results derived from the rigorous research across updated guides of clinical practice, systematic reviews and research studies.The North American researcher has presented concrete cases of success in the conference that has opened the Nursing Scientific Activities Session at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital. This is an annual meeting that aimst to share the knowledge and the experiences in the health care activity or reserach, and that has counted in the scientific committee with the health care group and in the opening with Dr. Joan Comella, VHIR's director. In its fourth edition they have presented 20 experiences and projects, of which 5 were research works. There has also been exposed a project of professionals' exchange between the tertiary hospitals of Barcelona and a Spanish program for the excellence in nursing health care. Tey have taken part near 500 professionals, between nurses, physical therapists, midwives, auxiliary technical personnel, nutritionists and occupational therapists.
