An apple for Multiple Sclerosis

The leader of the Clinical Neuroimmunology group at Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) and director of the Centre for Multiple Sclerosis of Catalonia (CEM-Cat), along with the president of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (FEM), Rosamaria Estrany, presented the charity campaign 'An apple for life', to be held on 11 and 12 March in more than 400 Condis establishments in Catalonia and Madrid. During these two days the apples in these places will cost 1.50 euros, and FEM will dedicate the total revenue Scholarship CEM-Cat 'Miquel Martí i Pol' 2011, aimed at junior research groups in hospitals and universities in Catalonia with objective of promoting research in neuroimmunology, with a special focus on multiple sclerosis.The presentation, which took place in the VHIR Collserola Building, was supported by actors Àngel Llàcer, Jordi Diaz and Jordi Cadellans, and also involved the director of the Catalan Health Institute (ICS), Dr. Enric Argelagués, and the manager of Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, Dr. José Luis de Sancho, in addition to the presence of VHIR director, Dr. Joan Comella.
