The Barcelona’s Medical Board acknowledges the career of VHIR and WIDER researchers

The professional association has also given the Professional Excellence Award to clinicians from Vall d'Hebron.

Thehttp://www.comb.cat/" Barcelona's Medical Board celebrated the 12th edition of the Professional Excellence Ceremony Award, that this year has recognized the career of 54 clinicians, some of them from Vall d'Hebron. The medical board also awarded the Digestive Endoscopy Unit of the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, led by Dr. Josep Ramon Armengol, who is also http://www.wider-barcelona.org/" WIDER's director, and the current head of the service, Dr. Joan Dot.Among the award-winners are Dr. Jordi Barquinero, head of the Cell and Gene Therapy group at Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR), Dr. Lluís Viladomiu, member of the Hepatic Diseases group and specialist of the Internal Medicine and Hepatology Service of the hospital, Dr. Judith Balmaña, researcher in breast and ovarian cancer at the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), Dr. Joaquim Camps, retired from the Verge de Montserrat Nephrology Center, and Dr. Miquel Rovirosa, retired from the cardiovascular surgery and pediatrics area at Vall d'Hebron.The Professional Excellence Awards were created with the aim to recognize clinicians with an exemplary attitude. They are a moral recognition that highlights the professional values in the field of medical assistance, medical education, research and bioethics. The 'assistance health team' category was created to distinguish the leadership and excellence of the professionals that work as a team.
