The assistant director of the health care department of the government of Catalonia closed the course

Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) hosted on Tuesday the last session of the Course in Good Clinical Practice organized by the Support Unit to Clinical Research (USIC), led by Inma Fuentes.Throughout 3 sessions, nearly 50 researchers and partners from Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (HUVH) studied the methodology of clinical trials, specifically the guidelines in good clinical practice and its applications, regarding ethics, current legislation and regulating bodies. The assistant director of the health care department of the government of Catalonia, Josep Davins, closed the session stressing the volume of clinical trials carried out in Catalonia, especially at Vall d'Hebron, concerning not only those clinical trials in which VHIR researchers participate, but also the assessment task carried out at the Clinical Research Ethics Committee. The Health Care Director of HUVH, Dr. Jaume Roigé, and the head of the Promotion Unit of Clinical Trials and Clinical Research, Dr. Xavier Molina, also attended the closing act.The course has been accredited by the Catalan Council for Continuing Medical Training with 1.2 credits.
