The benefits obtained will go to the predoctoral scholarship program of the Friends of Research in Vall d'Hebron and, specifically, to finance the scholarship of Natalia Ana Mendoza Palomar, predoctoral researcher of the research group on http://es.vhir.org/portal1/grup-equip.asp?s=recerca&contentid=186977 Infection in the Immunosuppressed Pediatric Patient of VHIR, led by Dr. Pere Soler. The aim of her doctoral thesis is to identify the clinical factors that influence the drugs in order to offer individualized treatment to each baby. Babies are one of the most vulnerable groups of patients, and one that lacks studies that specifically evaluate the dosage and dynamics of drugs in this population. "The Friends of Research Fellowship in Vall d'Hebron has allowed me to join the group and focus on the study of infections and antibiotics in newborns, in addition to completing my training in a national reference unit. I am very grateful to all the people who have made it possible and I hope to compensate them with my contribution to the group and in society," says Natalia Mendoza.
