David González is a Friend of Vall d'Hebron since May 2015, when he discovered, in one of the fundraising campaigns of Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR), the opportunity to contribute to the advance of biomedical research. That day he began to collaborate with VHIR with a regular donation and now he has moved forward with a major donation of 12,000 euros."I do it because I think that it is right and a good investment indeed", he said while signing the donation agreement with the Institute. His donation will be divided in two parts: 7,200 euros will go for the 'Friends of VHIR Predoctoral Training Programme', and 4,800 euros for the research in Medulloblastoma, carried out by the Translational Research Group in Cancer during Childhood and Adolescence, led by Dr. Josep Sánchez de Toledo at VHIR.David had the chance to know the members of Dr. Sánchez de Toledo's group, and to visit the laboratories, where also works one of the five researchers granted by Friends of VHIR, Luz Jubierre. During the visit, he could ask and learn the research lines of the group, how research is advancing and their projects for the future.Thanks to his donation, together with the donations of all the Friends of VHIR, researchers will advance in today's research and tomorrow's medicine.
