05/10/2011 Delegates of Mondragon visit VHIR to initiate collaborative works between the two entities 05/10/2011 After the cooperation agreement signed on 4 July between Mondragon Health and Vall d'Hebron to collaborate in the field of R+D+I, representatives of the Basque company have visited Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) to begin the working sessions between the two entities. By Mondragon were present Mikel Alvarez, CEO, Inma Uzkudun, project director, Eduardo Bertran de Nanclares, director of innovation and technology, and Javier Mendigutxia, director general of the research center Ikerlan.VHIR was represented by its director, Dr. Joan Comella, in addition to Lluís Massó, Manager, Francesc Iglesias, director of innovation, Dr. Pilar Gavilán, organizing director of the hospital, Dr. Josep Monterde central clinical services director at the hospital, Raquel Egea, value and transfer coordinator, Laura Casado, head of the Project Unit, and Fatima Nunez, responsible of the unit for scientific and technical support. After visiting the facilities of VHIR, the working group met to discuss the framework agreement, the policy areas, projects and joint collaboration lines and alternatives and next steps to be taken by consensus.
