Yesterday, a delegation of members of http://bit.ly/2q9XtW8 BCN Global visited the Vall d'Hebron Campus and had the opportunity to know closely the work of the different centres that comprise it: the http://bit.ly/2q9WWDI Hospital, the http://bit.ly/2qeJ0aJ Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) where they could see the laboratories of Liver, Cardiovascular and Parkinson's diseases, the http://bit.ly/2owuzlW Vall d'Hebron Oncology Institute (VHIO) and the http://bit.ly/2oRHsWU Multiple Sclerosis Centre of Catalonia (Cemcat).Barcelona Global is a platform for business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals who live and work in Barcelona and that their mission is to contribute to making the city one of the best cities in the world for talent and economic activity. The visit to the Vall d'Hebron Campus began with a few words of the president of BCN Global, Mr. Gonzalo Rodés, who conveyed the group's interest in the visit and the sensitivity to the health care and medical research projects. Then the Manager of the Hospital, Dr. Vicenç Martínez, presented the project of the Vall d'Hebron Hospital Campus and gave way to the beginning of the itinerary through the various centres that make up the Campus and some services of the Hospital.Divided into three groups of BCN Global they visited VHIR laboratories and VHIO, the Cemcat, the Burn Unit of the Hospital of Traumatology and Rehabilitation, the Neonatology Service and the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Service of the Mother and Child Hospital.When they get to VHIR, they were greeted by its director, Dr. Joan X. Comella, who explained the research groups that form the VHIR, the main research projects carried out, as well as the high impact of the scientific publications of researchers.
