VHIR’s researcher has been recognized for his dedication to neurology

Dr. Manuel Comabella, Coordinator of the Neuroscience Area at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) has been awarded with the Neurologic Diseases 2013 Prize granted annually by the "www.sen.es" Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN). With this award, the SEN wanted to recognizes the work of Dr. Comabella in the study and the popular science of neurology. Dr. Comabella is currently working on the research for causal genetic variants and the study of their implications in patients with multiple sclerosis. The SEN prizes represent the recognition of the Spanish Society of Neurology and the Spanish neurologists to those who have contributed decisively to develop neurology, to the knowledge of neurological diseases and to the social awareness of patients who suffer neurology diseases.The awards ceremony took place on May 14 at the Royal Academy of Medicine of Madrid, in a ceremony attended by some of the best Spanish neurologists.
