CataloniaBio & HealthTech has renewed the presidency and four members of the current director board (2018-2022), as established in the by-laws of the association. At the general members assembly held this morning in Barcelona, Judit Anido has been named President of CataloniaBioHT for the next two years, replacing Jaume Amat who becomes First Vice President. Anido is the first woman to chair the Association of Life Sciences and Health Companies in Catalonia.The new members are Dr. Joan X. Comella, director of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), Marta Palicio, Director of Innovation at Biokit, Carme Lagunas, Head of Development and R&D at Ferrer Advanced Biotherapeutics and Alfons Nonell, CEO of The Patients Resource.The board will be completed by Lluís Chico, managing partner of NEOS Surgery as their second vice president and treasurer, Angel Alonso, General Manager of Vecmedical as Third Vice President and Secretary, Montserrat Vendrell, managing partner of Alta Life Sciences, Lídia Cánovas, General Manager of Asphalion Regulatory Affairs, Albert Giralt, Managing Director of Avinent, and Isabel Amat, Director of Innovation and Management of the Reig Jofre Pipeline.The outgoing members are Esteve, Hospital Clínic, Mind the Byte and Spherium Biomed, which the board thanked for their dedication and contribution to the association.CataloniaBioHT is currently comprised of more than 160 start-ups and pharmaceutical, biotechnology, technology and medical device, digital health and scientific services companies, including VHIR, as well as leading investors and knowledge agents in research and development. and innovation (R&D).
