From September 17 to 20 took place in Barcelona a cycle of conferences in basic and advanced cytometry coordinated by Dr. Jordi Petriz, member of the research unit in biomedicine and translational and pediatrics oncology at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and president of the Iberian Citometry Society.Titled 'Progressing in the knowledge of Cytoma', the cycle had the aim to provide basic and advanced training in flow cytometry for hematologist, oncologists, cellular biologists, immunologists and microbiologists. During the course one of the most important topics was the principles of flow cytometry in relation with a wide range of clinical applications.
