30/06/2011 Dr. Reventós invited to the Oncology and Biotechnology Forum 30/06/2011 Dr. Jaume Reventós, head of the Research Unit of Biomedical and Translational and Pediatric Oncology at Vall d'Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR) was invited to present the work 'Discovery of new diagnostic biomarkers for endometrial carcinoma in uterine aspirate: an example of academia-industry partnership' during the 'Oncology and Biotechnology Forum', organized by the British Consulate in Barcelona and the UK Trade & Investment, to hundreds of British businessmen in the fields of biotechnology, diagnostics and oncology.The UK's biotechnology sector is the largest in Europe and second globally only to the US. UK commercial and academic research into cause and cures is nowhere better developed or more innovative than in cancer. The combination of decades of research and daring novel approaches to delivering therapies, make the UK the European leader for research, innovation and commercialisation. This forum provided the opportunity to hear directly from sector specialists, learn from the British experience and discover opportunities for investment in the UK and Spain.
