Dr. Reventós, head of the Research Unit in Biomedicine and Translational Oncology at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR), gave the inaugural lecture at the "https://www.aecc.es/Nosotros/Dondeestamos/Barcelona/Documents/2013/2013_03_19_Programa_jornada_primaria.pdf" "https://www.aecc.es/Nosotros/Dondeestamos/Barcelona/Documents/2013/2013_03_19_Programa_jornada_primaria.pdf" III Meeting on Oncology in Primary Health Care Professionals in Catalonia, organized by the Barcelona section of the Spanish association against cancer (AECC), and celebrated recently at Palau Robert in Barcelona. In front of more than 200 Catalan primary health care professionals, Dr. Reventós talked about the last updates in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. After his lecture, doctors discussed risk factors related with cancer and talked about the monitoring of long survival patients, with the participation of Dr. Anna Llort, researcher at the same unit at VHIR. The meeting closed with a lecture on the complex emotional situations that professionals have to face with oncological patients, led by Dr. Concha León, psycho-oncologist at Institut Oncològic del Vallés.
