It is a thriller that takes place in a scientific environment related to anti-aging therapies and cosmetic surgery. The main character of the novel is a researcher who starts working at the research institute of a new Catalan Hospital with both public and private service. Soon, a lab technician disappears, and the executive board of the hospital and the police are quick to say that it appears to be a suicide. Nonetheless, another researcher from the same hospital refuses to accept this theory. From this point, the story revolves around the mystery that will be finally unveiled. Dr. Schwartz stresses that the novel "combines very relevant topics at this moment, with an important social repercussion such as the funding of the public health care system, with fictitious stories about the human ambition and its ethical limits, everything related to the potential of research to change the social framework and people’s capacity of corruption".
