Dr. Simon Schwartz Jr., director of the CIBBIM-Nanomedicine of Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), has been appointed president of the http://www.esnam.org/ European Society for Nanomedicine (ESNAM).The ESNAM is a European scientific society focused on the clinical application of nanomedicine. The objectives of the association are to promote research and the use of nanomedicine and facilitate the exchange of knowledge among its members (ESNAM currently has about 800 members). That is why the society members represent various sectors of the scientific community: doctors, biologists, chemists, physicists ... The ESNAM also plays a role of representing the nanomedical community before international organizations and industry.Dr. Schwartz intends to "increase the number of members and promote cooperation and interaction between them so that new European international projects arise." At the same strategic line it is aimed to increase the list of sponsors that allow the promotion of activities of the Company, courses specialized in nanomedicine and nanotechnology or workshops.In addition, he has also been appointed member of the executive board of the International Society of Nanomedicine (ISN), a newly established company which includes the American, European and Korean, the ESNAM, among other associations.
