10/01/2014 Dr. Valentí Fuster is the speaker of the conference of the Clinical General Session of Cardiology 10/01/2014 The talk has had a massive influx and expectancy in the presence of the prestigious cardiologist Today’s Clinical General Session of Cardiology held at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron (HUVH) has been conducted by Dr. Valentí Fuster, General Director of the National Center for Cardiovascular Research Carlos III (CNIC) in Madrid and Physician-in –Chief of the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.The conference, which is entitled ‘The two routes of translational cardiovascular research: the next decade’ has had a massive influx of people both in person and online, because of the possibility to follow it in streaming. As a result, people, doctors and hospitals across the country have been enjoying the talk. Dr. Valentí Fuster, with the same humanitarian tone as all his numerous health education studies, wanted to made aware attendees about the importance of promoting health, especially in children but also in adults. According to the cardiologist, to curing diseases is much more expensive than preventing them, and prevention still has negative connotations. Here it is the importance of health education.After explaining a successful health education studies conducted in children, Dr. Fuster has ended the talk with a self-reflection about the importance of motivation to young people: 'Young people are the ones who can change the world'.
