EATRIS as an example to promote the Spanish framework of scientific research

Dr. Fátima Núñez presented the new European research infrastructure in a workshop organized by ISCIII

"http://www.eatris.eu/SitePages/home.aspx" EATRIS, the new European infrastructure of translational medicine coordinated scientifically in Spain by Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research and politically by Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), opened the discussion “Strategic scenario for research in sciences and health technologies”, held in El Escorial (Madrid) and organized by ISCIII with the collaboration of the Spanish departments of Economics and Health. In front of the directors of several outstanding Spanish institutes of research, the director of the Technical and Scientific Support Area at VHIR, Dr. Fátima Núñez, presented the mission of this platform that "http://www.vhir.org/salapremsa/noticies/noticies_detall.asp?Idioma=en&mv1=5&mv2=3&mh1=0&mh2=0&mh3=0&mh4=0&ms=0&any=2013&num=155" started its activity a few weeks ago: to shorten the time and reduce the cost of drugs and treatments, and to manage European resources more efficiently, avoiding duplicities in infrastructures.More than 70 prominent academic institutions are involved in EATRIS, therefore, is one of the key strategies in the current European policy of fostering the activity of biomedical research institutes.
