Esperanza Zuriguel, finalist at the Nursing Awards in Development ED 2017

Vall d'Hebron's nurse Esperanza Zuriguel has been finalist at the ED 2017 Nursing in Development Awards, with her work on the critical thinking for the nursing professionals.

Esperanza Zuriguel Pérez, from the Clinical Nursing Unit of Knowledge Management and Assessment of the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital and researcher of the http://www.vhir.org/portal1/grup-equip.asp?s=recerca&contentid=187124 Reconstructive Surgery Research Group of the Locomotor System of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR ), has been finalist at the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vxUVTXoCs0&feature=youtu.be" Nursing Awards in Development ED 2017 in the University and Doctoral Theses category, with her project http://www.premiosed.es/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Esperanza_Zuriguel.pdf" "Evaluation of critical thinking in nursing professionals, following the circular model of Nursing, Alfaro-LeFevre ".This is the second edition of the ED 2017 Awards, organized by the magazine Enfermería en Desarrollo, which aims to recognize the efforts of nursing professionals on improving their work. Thus, the study of Esperanza Zuriguel has been recognized for its importance in a health environment as complex as the current one. Her doctoral thesis develops and validates an instrument to evaluate the critical thinking skills of nurses in clinical practice. As the organization of the prizes indicates, "in the practice of care, the development of skills and dispositions for critical thinking can increase the confidence and autonomy of nurses, and improve the results in care and diagnostic accuracy."
