Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research hosted from the 11th to the 13th of December the "http://www.epssgassociation.it/index.php" "http://www.epssgassociation.it/index.php" European Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcoma Study Group (EpSSG), with the participation of more than 60 experts in research and clinical practice in this field. Throughout the 3 days of the meeting, researchers discussed aspects of the organization and tried to unify criteria about radiotherapy, surgery, anatomical pathology and radiology. They also presented the latest advances in treatments against soft tissue sarcoma, especially the results of the new clinical trials against rhabdomyosarcoma, which is present in the 8% of child tumors detected. Dr. Josep Sánchez de Toledo, head of the Translational Research in Child Cancer group at VHIR, organized the meeting together with Dr. Soledad Gallego, who was elected new member of the EpSSG Board. In the General Assembly it was also elected Dr. Gianni Bisogno, from the University of Padova, as the new Chair.
