With the background of the Health ICT exchange workshops between Catalonia and France that took place this week in Girona, a delegation of French ICT companies and health centers have visited on May 6 the facilities of Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and Vall d'Hebron University Hospital (HUVH). During the meeting, at VHIR's 'Mediterranean' building, VHIR's director of innovation, Francesc Iglesias, the responsible for computer systems of VHIR, Domènec Far, and the head of Computer at HUVH, Nacho Nieto, have exposed respectively a general idea of the hospital and the research institute, as well as management of information systems from both institutions.By the French delegation participated the companies Altran, Frequentiel and Planete Medicale, specialized in health ICT. At the end of the presentation, the responsibles of these companys met with Dr. Soledad Romea, director of process and quality plan at HUVH, Dr. Jesus Martinez, assistant to the process direction, and Dr. Vicenç Martínez Ibáñez , director of surgical procedures. French health centers that have come to the meeting are Sire and Centre E-Sante. Their representatives have taken time out to visit the center for endoscopic surgery Wider.
