The genetic analysis is key in pediatric research

Research and genetic analysis research are key to new approaches for pediatric use, as concluded in a discussion on child health that took place during the Fourth Conference of Updating Biomedical Researc.. At the conference, organized by the Ophthalmology Research Unit Santiago Grisolia, which belongs to the Research Foundation of the Hospital Doctor Peset of Valencia and the Valencian Foundation for Advanced Studies, attended Dr. Antonio Carrascosa, head of pediatrics department at Vall d'Hebron hospital and head of pediatrics endocrinology group at VHIR.During the debate, moderated by Pilar Codoñer, head of the pediatrics department at Peset, Dr. Carrascosa explained that "the GH1 gene tencodes the synthesis of growth hormone, which plays an important role in growth regulation during postnatal development."
