On November 28, Giving Tuesday is celebrated, a global solidarity movement that aims to encourage citizens to cooperation and altruism. In the framework of this initiative, Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus will install a stand on the 24th on the first floor of l'Illa Diagonal to continue to publicize the http://ambtucomacasa.com/" 'With you, as at home' campaign ("Amb tu, com a casa" in Catalan). At the stand of the campaign it will be recreated one of the rooms of the new Centre for Advanced Neonatology and there will be workshops by the professionals of the Neonatology Service of Vall d'Hebron to explain the care and attention premature infants receive. On the stand will also be carried out activities related to the Prejecte Germans, a workshop that, through games and simulated situations, prepare the children to get used to see their little brothers and sisters hospitalized in a medical environment. The campaign 'With you, as at home' aims to raise funds for a new Centre of Advanced Neonatology in the Mother and Child Hospital of Vall d'Hebron. The project will contribute to placing the baby and its family at the care centre and will strengthen the Neonatology Service as an international benchmark through care and research. The goal is to raise 880,000 euros in order to promote the new Advanced Neonatology Centre. The campaign 'With you, as at home' based on the story of álvaro, a child of one year and three months that spent his first three months of life in the Neonatology Service of Vall d'Hebron. His extraordinary story of struggle for life is an example of what the new centre will mean for the families that have to live the hospitalization of a child who has just been born. The project 'With you, as at home' will promote the inclusion of families as part of the team that take care of the baby. Spaces will be created to protect and facilitate their intimacy and their participation, in which they feel comfortable and where they receive always the advice and support of health professionals. The Neonatology Service of Vall d'Hebron is one of the pioneers in this type of approach, and is one of only two centres in the country accredited for training in NIDCAP (R) (a model of individualized care of the baby, centred on the neurodevelopment). In recent years, several projects have been started in this line, as is the case of the http://bit.ly/2vN7dIU" Projecte Quasiacasa and the http://bit.ly/2tGEnIQ" Projecte Germans. Andrés Iniesta and his wife Anna Ortiz sponsor the campaign 'With you, as at home' and have made a https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRWuxu2LzAg video of support where they encourage citizens and companies who wish to make their contributions through the website http://ambtucomacasa.com/ ambtucomacasa.com, the crowdfunding platform https://www.migranodearena.org/ migranodearena.com and through the https://www3.caixabank.es/apl/donativos/index_es.html portal of donations Box Bank, or buying t-shirts with the motto http://uttopy.com/categoria-producto/colecciones/born-to-be-extraordinary/ Uttopy #BornToBeExtraordinary, which is the label of the campaign on social networks. The t-shirts can be purchased during the Giving Tuesday in the stand of the campaign at l'Illa Diagonal shopping centre.
