The http://en.vhir.org/portal1/unit.asp?s=institut&contentid=9033&sb=5&codigrup=97&codiarea=1&codiunitat=65 High Technology Unit (UAT) and the http://en.vhir.org/portal1/unit.asp?s=institut&contentid=9035&sb=7&codigrup=96&codiarea=6&codiunitat=53 Support Unit for Clinical Research (USIC) of VHIR obtain the ISO 9001: 2015 Certification of Quality Management Systems, following the line initiated by the other Scientific-Technical Services that obtained the certificate last year: the Biobank, the Statistics and Bioinformatics Unit (UEB) and the Academic Research Organization (ARO). Likewise, the Quality System of the VHIR has also been adapted to the new version of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard, thus obtaining the certification of this version of the standard for a total of 5 units at VHIR.The certification audit was conducted last November by the TüV Rheinland certification company, which reviews the compliance of the standard and the implementation of a Quality Management System based on continuous improvement. The certificate has finally been issued when the certification process has been reviewed and approved by the head of the certification body. The certificates are valid for three years, although the follow-up audits have to be carried out annually during the validity period of the certificate.The ISO 9001 StandardThe ISO 9001 Standard is the most widespread quality management tool worldwide, with more than a million certificates in 175 countries.
