16/07/2010 ICS Research institutes sign an agreement with B.Braun to develope a program to investigate surgical technology 16/07/2010 Three research institutes assigned to Institut català de la salut (ICS),-Germans Trias i Pujol, Vall d’ Hebron and Bellvitge hospitals- have subscribed a research and innovation program with B.Braun Group to help investigation about surgical technology improvement. Each Institut will have a manager, who will be the responsible to handle contributions provided about these and other interesting items. All the research lines are open to the participation of professionals who are interested in the first research areas will be launched in the first place: wound closure, tissue reinforcement and local hemostatic. For each of them, will be carried out individual agreements B. Braun Group in Spain. This first framework agreement lays the foundations for long-term collaboration with B. Braun, which has in Catalonia a center of excellence R & D in technology and research. In the future, will be opening new lines of research and collaboration with other research institutes to promote the impetus of new techniques to improve surgical practice.
