A research team from Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) have studied the immunological answer in the patients who required income to Intensive Cares for severe pneumonia during the acute phase of the A flu. The conclusions of the study indicate that, in those most severe cases, the failure of the immunological answer is unable to avoid that the virus continues retorting to itself, and this causes a vicious cycle that makes worsen the clinical state until a critical situation.
