14/12/2010 International PhD School 'Promise' 14/12/2010 December 10 and 11 , Vall d'Hebron Hospital hosted the initial first meeting of the International PhD School 'Promise', a joint project of Justus Liebig University of Giesen, Germany, and Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), also with the participation of ICCC (HSP-CSIC). The school is focused on the investigation of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion, and has significant funding, 1.5 million euros, from the German Research Agency (DFG).The project will award a Doctor's degree Justus Liebig University and Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona, with a maximum of 17 seats, of which have been covered 12.
