Inveready has taken a minority but significant in this firm, the first spin-off of Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) in Barcelona. The first round of Transbiomed worths $ 1.2 million and was structured by a combination of equity and soft loans from public sources, for applied research, innovation and entrepreneurship that will be disbursed this year. Among the public institutions that funded the company include ACC10 and the Ministry of Science and Innovation. After the operation, the founders of the company will maintain a controlling stake in it.
