In addition, the project on diabetic retinopathy for the precocious treatment of blindness for Diabetes, coordinated by Dr. Rafael Simó, or the project on biomarkers for endometrium cancer that manages Dr. Jaume Reventós, head of the Biomedical Research Unit.VHIR's director, Dr. Joan Comella, assures in the pages of Ronda Iberia that "science in Spain was till now a nice grass with future perspectives, but only is only 30 years old, not as United Kingdom that has more than one century. And such a young grass is difficult that survives a long drought. Now we have an extraordinary worry because of the danger to this period of long drought. The great worry is that the public research calls, which mainly hold research in our country, can leave out an important part of researchers who have obtained financing through this organism in the last 20 years".
