More than 200 assistants to the charity concert of Mancuso for ovarian cancer research

The concert closes the activities prepared by researchers of the Gynecology group to raise funds for ovarian cancer research

On the night of May 25 the Mancuso Blues Band filled with solidarity the concert hall Luz de Gas. To the rhythm of classic rock and blues more than 200 people danced in the act which closed the activities organized by the http://en.vhir.org/portal1/grup-equip.asp?s=recerca&contentid=186717&t=Recerca%20Biom%E8dica%20en%20Ginecologia" biomedical research group in gynecology at the Vall d' Hebron Research Institute, organized to mark the http://ovariancancerday.org" World Day of Ovarian Cancer, held on May 8.The audience, motivated to cooperate in the investigation of this disease, enjoyed intensely more than one hour concert in which the 7 members of Mancuso showed their total commitment and solidarity with research, offering as a donation 50% of the earnings from the sale of their CD.Again, we appreciate the involvement of all those who have helped to make the party a success, both those who shared music and dancing at Luz de Gas and those who did by donating at the ticket 0.Ovarian cancer accounts for 5% of all cancers in women. Each year about 3,300 cases are diagnosed in Spain, and many of them in an advanced stage because it is a disease that virtually has no symptoms and do not have diagnostic markers to be detected early. The Vall d'Hebron Campus specializes in fighting ovarian cancer, both in the health care setting and in research.
