'Music has an amazing ability to thrill'

In the interview in la Gaceta Médica he said that "music has an amazing ability to thrill, as for example, people with Alzheimer's disease, who can’t recognise people of their family, can feel thrilled with the music they liked".In his research field, Dr. Vila is optimistic about the chances of finding, in a not so distant future, a cure for Parkinson "as neurodegenerative diseases share common mechanisms, progress in one of these diseases contributes to the advancement of the rest. In particular, in the field of Parkinson's disease, the research is approaching to the early detection and I think that sooner or later, we will get a cure."
