New guide of use of Probiotics and Prebiotics

Recently it has been published the new version of the guide of use of Probiotics and Prebiotics in gastroenterology in the web page of the World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO). In the production of the guide there has taken part a group of experts of the whole world presided by the Dr. Francisco Guarner, from the Phisiology and pathophisiology of the digestive tract group at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). The work has been developed during one year and a half, from May 2010, and has consisted of an exhaustive review of the works published in the scientific literature and the discussion between the experts of the meaning and impact of the different works. The principal innovation of the new guide is in the recommendations of some Probiotics and Prebiotics for specific indications with its level of evidence. Now it's available the English version, and shortly you will find the translation to several languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian and Mandarin).
